In After the Chaos reflect on the landscape after a wildfire and on the traces that remain once the fire has died out. I intervene with subtle burns to transform the surface into a material record of destruction. On these marked surfaces I build nocturnal landscapes in shades of blue, where only white silhouettes of roe deer appear. These figures function as spectral presences, bodies that embody the vulnerability of life within a wounded environment. I am drawn to that silence which follows chaos - a space suspended between loss and the possibility of regeneration. The series is, for me, a meditation on the fragility of landscape and the memory that nature leaves within its own matter.
